As you will see from these examples, the book is detailed, but it
moves at a good pace. It is rich with information and will really
give the reader good insight into the character of Mapleton.
If you have family roots in Mapleton, this book has wonderful
biographical sketches of some of the early residents of Mapleton as
well, making it an invaluable source for genealogy. Here is a list of
the families who are detailed in alphabetical order by last name. If the
man or woman listed had more than one spouse or no spouse, none are
listed below, but they are written about in the biographical sketch.
Their children are mentioned as well in the article (if there were any),
but I found the list too numerous to type. Throughout the book many more
